Maria Fe PicarMaria Fe Picar is a San Francisco native who has performed in the Bay Area for over
twenty years as a dancer, choreographer, and instructor; performing for local productions and shows through her studio Ingleside Creative Arts. She became an event planner, producer, and grant writer when she spear-headed her own non-profit called The OMI Cultural Participation Project. Some of the events and projects she was able to produce were mostly for the OMI Community of San Francisco that included the Ocean Avenue Arts and Culture Festival, The Ocean Avenue Film Festival, Open Mics at Caffe Melanio’s and the OMI Antique Car Show to name a few. She has also collaborated on local art projects like the Arts Alive Ingleside: Banners on Ocean Avenue as the project manager coordinating over 74 artist for individual banners that were shown on the street. As an actress and stage director she has participated in over thirty projects including her own plays for the Dark Room, Actor’s Studio and Mojo Theatre. She co-founded Asian Mainstream Productions in 2005 when there was a need to bring more Asians to the forefront of Film, Television and Theater. Today Asian Mainstream has participated in collaborating with local filmmakers to produce commercials, Music Video, Short and Feature films in narrative and documentary styles.
